Christmas began around 6:30am in our house this year. Claire woke up first and then Evan got up about 20 minutes later. Evan was so excited to see that Santa had come!! As excited as he was, he was so good about waiting to open presents until we woke up Dad and took some pictures in front of all the gifts.
Evan got so many gifts from Santa, family and friends. Some of his favorites are the Star Wars blaster gun, Toy Story 3 Imaginext Toy, race track, I Can Do That game, Soccer Goal (with hockey & lacrosse), Buzz Light Year Wings, arts and crafts supplies and the Bow and Arrow set. But as he opened pretty much each gift, he would exclaim "I've always wanted this!"
The flash was just too bright that early in the morning!
Claire was pretty good too and was spoiled with 4 baby dolls, clothes, a doll house, a cradle, a happy sounds home and some other fun toys. She was into the boxes the most, so Evan was more than happy to help her unwrap all of her gifts.
Later that day, we went to Sherry's for dinner with Shannon, her mom, her aunt and the kids, as well as Andy and Jen. Sadly Charlie was unable to join us as I apparently passed along my stomach virus to him and he got it on Christmas. What a wonderful gift I was able to pass on! Poor guy!! The kids got to open even more presents there! Nothing beats Christmas. We had a wonderful day and were thoroughly exhausted by the end of it!
