Buddies

Our friends from Maryland-Jen, Greg & Jonathan moved down to here about 2 months ago and moved into our neighborhood. It's been so nice to have friends right around the corner. It's perfect for all of us, as the kids get along as do the adults. We probably see them almost every day, which is so fun. Evan & Jonathan have become quite good friends and Evan is so excited when he see any of the 3 of them. Not only are they wonderful, caring and giving people, but Jen is also a professional baker. Evan loves her for her and for her treats :)!!

Here are a few pics Jen took on Valentine's Day in Winter Park. Hard to believe that they were born on the SAME DAY. Jonathan is quite a bit taller than Evan. Although at birth, Evan weighed OVER 10 pounds and Jonathan was about 7 1/2 pounds. Guess that goes to show, birth weight means nada (especially when your dad is so naturally fit!).

Super Bowl Madness

Evan seems to think he no longer needs a nap. He has actually been fighting napping and bed time a lot lately. We know we need to move him to a bed, but like him being safe (read trapped) in a crib. On Super Bowl Sunday, Evan fought his nap, so at about 7:30pm, he passed out on the carpet at Charlie & Shannon's. This is the first time he has ever fallen asleep on the ground-he's normally too concerned with all the happenings around him. It kind of worked out perfectly-he was sound asleep, so we were able to stay and watch the whole game. What a great game, if only the Cardinals could have pulled it off.

Dopey, Dopey, Dopey

Evan is IN LOVE with the 7 Dwarfs. He got some dwarf "bath toys" for Christmas that seem to be his most favorite toy(s), ever. He carries them with him where ever he goes, especially in the shower (yes he showers, loves it). His 2 favorite are Dopey & Doc, but knows them all and is very aware if one is missing and knows exactly which one it is. I often hear, "mom, where is bashful"? Since I can only tell most of them apart from the label they have on them, I am pretty useless in helping to decipher which ones are present. Last Saturday, we went to Epcot with our friends Jen, Greg & Jonathan and Dopey & Snow White were out taking pictures. Evan was so excited to see them, but when we got close he wanted me to hold him. I thankfully was able to crop myself out :)

Preschool Registration

On Monday I registered Evan for preschool at Windermere Union Preschool. I still cannot believe he is old enough to go to school. I also cannot believe I had to register him on February 2 for school at the end of August. I guess that's just the way it goes. I think he is 100% ready for school, the learning and socializing aspects, but not sure he is ready to be potty trained and that's a requirement. He's going to be in the same class as three of his friends, which I think will make the adjustment a lot easier for all of them (and the moms!). I just signed him up for 2 mornings a week, but it was pretty emotional to do so. This means that my baby is really growing up, and quickly!! He looks like he's 5 in these pictures and all ready for the school bus, crazy!

Welcome Audrey Virginia Orme

This morning at 1:29am, Audrey Virginia Orme came into the world, weighing 7lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. As you can see, she is absolutely beautiful and Audrey, mom & dad are all doing great!! This is the first girl in either Joe or my families, it's very exciting!!
