Our weight guess

I have had this poll on my blog seeing what people think Claire will weight. For the record, these are our guesses:

Kristy: 8lbs, 14 oz
Joe: 9lbs, 2 oz

We'll see how close either of us are tomorrow am.

Last day as a family of 3

I cannot believe that our little girl will be in our lives by 6:30 tomorrow morning. This pregnancy has really flown by. I am so very excited to meet her. I was thinking today, when did I first fall in love with her? Was it when we found out on our 5th wedding anniversary that I was pregnant? Or a few weeks later when we saw her little heartbeat (and thankfully saw she was just 1 baby!). Was it when I first felt her move at 15 weeks and have yet to feel her stop? Or was it when I found out she was a girl on October 9? Of course it was all these times and I cannot wait to see the little face that belongs to all this love in my heart. I will be so sad not to feel her in my belly anymore, but will be sure to savor every second of her in my arms. What a little blessing she is. And is she one lucky girl, she's got the best big brother in the whole world and the most amazing father. Enjoy being snug for a few more hours little girl, because tomorrow you come into our world and the camera flashes will begin :).

Last Thursday I got to go to Evan's school and help the kids decorate cookies for Valentine's Day. We are not even allowed to walk into Evan's classroom typically, so it was fun to see the kids interact with each other and their teachers while I was there. I was impressed more kids did not just try to eat the cookies right away. They had to decorate them and then leave them until snack time. I didn't do the best job of taking pics, but what can you do?

She already has more clothes than I do, her dresser is completely packed too! She's going to be one well-dressed little girl!

6 days to go and counting! Our little girl, Claire Delaney, will be here on Friday, February 26, if she doesn't make her debut sooner. We are as ready as we'll ever be for her arrival. I am really getting so excited to meet her and hold her in my arms. I cannot believe that this pregnancy is almost over. For the most part, it feels like it's flown by. This has been a relatively easy pregnancy and definitely a very healthy one so far, so I have been very blessed. Evan seems ready for her too, he is very excited to meet her. I know that he'll be a great big brother, I just hope that the transition is as painless as possible.

But technically speaking we are definitely ready for her! Claire's room is finished. I love the way it turned out. I was going to paint it green but then figured, we have to do pink! The color is great and I love that the room looks girly, but not babyish. She'll definitely be able to grow with it. We also bought a minivan! I now feel like I'm a 40 year old soccer mom, as opposed to a 31 year old. But that's okay, the van is great, so easy to get in and out of and Evan loves it! I'm sure Claire will too :).

I haven't really taken many belly shots this pregnancy. But I figured it was about time to do so. So, here I am at 35 weeks. 3 1/2 weeks to go. Can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by!
