Evan’s Christmas concert was on Friday. As usual, I was totally impressed by the show that the school put on. The kids did amazing, sang loudly and did all the hand motions. I don’t think one kid cried. Not bad for about 90 4 & 5 year olds. I am sad that this could be Evan’s last Christmas concert for school. If he goes to public school (which he most likely will), they will not be celebrating Christmas. At least he went out with a bang, singing my one of my favs, Silent Night.

Claire's Christmas Concert
Claire had her first school concert ever on Thursday night at her school, Windermere Community Church Preschool. I could not believe that the teachers and school were so brave to put one year olds on a stage. I really had no idea how Claire would do. She is such a ham, but I thought the minute she saw us, she would freak out. I couldn’t have been more wrong. She LOVED waving to us, but never wanted off the stage. She was perfect up there, did most of the hand motions and had a blast. She LOVED being the center of attention and you could tell that she was so happy by all those who came to watch her.
I know I am her mom, but I would have to say she did the best of all the 1 year olds up there. She was the cutest little lamb I’ve ever seen.
I also surprised myself, I thought I would be crying while she was up there. Instead, she was so cute and such a ham, I found myself laughing the whole time. I heart that little girl so much!
Claire with Ms. Liz, her teacher
Ms. Taylor, one of her teachers
Evan wanted to be a lamb too
Look at all the friends and family who came to watch Claire! She is one lucky little girl!!
Evan's School 5th Birthday Party
Evan celebrated his 5th Birthday at school with his class on Tuesday, December 13. His whole class sang to him, gave him a wonderful birthday book and the class feasted on some green & blue cupcakes with no sprinkles b/c Evan does NOT like sprinkles. What a great way to kick off his birthday week!
Christmas Baking
Evan, Claire, Joe and I decorated our best gingerbread house yet. It took a few days, but it looks great.
Then a few days later, Evan helped me bake a lot of Schnickendough. He was very helpful and very eager to eat our finished product! Mmmm...so good, it's about time to bake a whole lot more!!

Santa Over the Years
At not quite 1, Evan was a little glazed over about Santa
This is Evan at about Claire's age (almost 2). He was not too fond of Santa!
Climbing out of my arms!!
At almost 3, Evan realized the magic of Santa
Loving Santa and showing Claire how it's done! (Evan, almost 4, Claire, 10 months)
At almost 5 and 21 months, they both seem pretty happy with Santa!
