Happy Memorial Day
Thank you to all the men and women who serve our country so selflessly. We owe you our deepest gratitude for protecting us and allowing us the freedoms we enjoy each day. May God protect you today and always. Thank you especially to Adam, Jesse & Evelyn Hedrick. We are so proud of you!
1st Oriole's Game
On Sunday we drove to Tampa to go see the Rays play the Orioles. It was your first Orioles' game (and 1st regular season professional game). You were WONDERFUL through the whole game. We managed to get great seats, just about 8 rows back from home plate. You loved seeing the balls, the players and especially the weird "birdish" mascot. Just like me, I think you enjoyed the food at the game the best :). Sadly the O's lost, but we still had a great time.
Haircut
As much as I LOVED your curls and your shaggy surfer hair, I knew it was time for another cut. You do not like getting your hair cut at all, so I sent daddy with you instead. He said you did really well the first half, good job. Although I think I prefer your hair a little longer, the short cut means we can go a little longer between cuts (good thinking dad!) and I still think you look super cute with the trimmed do. I'm not sure if I love how old you are looking though, where did my baby go????
Love this picture!

Bookworm
You LOVE to read and cannot get enough of your books. I was told that we should read you 3 books a day to prepare you for school (that would equal 1,000 books before pre-school). At this rate, we'll be up to about 10,000 before school begins. I love it that you enjoy books so much! You now love Elmo (whom you call Melmo) and we read his book a lot (about 10 times a day). But your other favorites are Brown Bear, The Noisy Forest, Baby's Bible Friends and really any book that has animals.
Mother's Day
Happy belated Mother's Day! My boys treated me to a wonderful weekend at the beach for Mother's Day last weekend. We went to Clearwater Beach, which was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time. It was very relaxing, which was exactly what I was looking for :). Thank you to both of you for making me a mother. It is truly the greatest thing I have ever been or done.
